weekend update

Kara and I had a super time on Saturday. We found all sorts of essential goodies while saling on Saturday. Then we went and purchased Bill;s birthday present.. a 40 inch tv. Of course that meant furniture moving. Sunday Kara and I went to look at a Stray dog and ended up with two darling pooches. I took them to get rabies shots and heartworm tests. Then shocked bill with two new dogs.  We went to a wedding and now I am pooped. more later.

6/08 Tonight:  the dogs cry whenever I leave the room. It is like having a new baby. I am not leaving them out of the kitchen due to concerns about toileting. They are both small.. a 4 year old buff color 5# poodle and a white 2 year old 10# poodle mixed with possibly a Jack Russel terrier. Both are boys and both need to be fixed. I have appointments for the first of July. They were both strays with no tags and no collars. A woman advertised them on craigslist and Kara and I went to see them Sunday morning and I couldn’t decided which to take. so…2. Kara went with me to the FACE clinic and got them checked for heartworm (negative) and got rabies shots. I have named them jack and JoJo.

Next entry: Hello from the Pacific Northwest!

Sue!! More updates on the dogs!  That was fast.

My brother John arrived Friday evening about 2 minutes after Dave got home (8 pm).  Rachel got in around 9.  Saturday, John, Dave, and I did a 24 mile bike ride in Brownsburg.  It was great weather and so nice to ride without having to stop for lights, signs and cars.  After a leisurely lunch in the gazebo we drove to Warsaw to see Marie’s new house.  My 2 brothers and 1 sister in law from Chicago were there along with my sister and Dad.  Marie and Tom did much of the interior by themselves - laid wood floors, did the tile in the bathroom and shower - floors and walls. It is a beautiful, spacious home - walkout basement, kitchen and living area are one huge room, etc etc.  And is it absolutely disgusting that 28 years olds have a $300,000 plus home!

Did I read that correctly - two dogs??  whoa!
Glad your weekend turned out well Maureen, I bet your dad appreciated everyone’s efforts to gather.  And your niece’s house, yes, rather disgusting:)

We are off to Portland on a 7 am flight tomorrow.  Delaney is having a hard time falling asleep due to the excitement!  We’re getting up at 3:30 am, so I ought to be in bed too, but I’m not tired.

Yes 2 see my edited entry.

I hate being too excited to fall asleep. you will be tired.

On Saturday I bought one dog cage so the little one is in the soft carrier but he escaped once so I may need to figure out something else.
