Way to spend a rainy day
The men arrived at 9 to begin the floor project. I am secluded upstairs, the house is a mess and will get messier. I just keep reminding myself how much I wanted this done - and trying to decide what the next project will be!
We picked up our “new” van Sunday - it belonged to Dave’s Dad - 2002 with only 20,000 miles and a dead battery. I am still attached to my van so it may take awhile to get rid of it.

Next entry: Conversation Club this week?
Previous entry: Commencing planting
They were just working in the front hall with plastic taped to the stairwell in a feeble attempt to control the dust. They did “clean up” but we still need to wear shoes. They should be finished Friday or Monday - then I get to clean and put everything back together!
I too am anxious to hear about Carol Fay’s trip - hope she can have CC shortly after she gets back.
It will be exciting to have John home! The weather certainly has to improve!
We are trying to find a date to meet up with Kevin and Jen for a visit.

Did everyone glimpse the sun today? I did get a 3 mile walk. Workmen still pounding away! They have laid out part of the family room so I did get an idea of what the finished product will look like - I am excited! They anticipate finishing Monday afternoon - and then the another crew comes to sand the steps and lay the runner!

I guess if I didn’t feel as if I needed to stick close to the house I wouldn’t be talking to myself on our site! Magnify the sounds of the drills in the dentist office, and the sound of a nail gun the roofer have along with a pounding ...I keep repeating - it’ll look good.

I’m back and boy do I have stories to tell ( mostly good. One is about a Tattoo) about my trip.
I can have CC this coming Thursday night. Carol, did you say you would be gone again? The first week in June I work Wednesday and Thursday night again and have Zumba that Tuesday night. That week wouldn’t be good for me to have CC. Let me know how many of you can come this Thursday.

What a teaser (stories to tell)... I can make it the 27th but probably not the 3rd.

How do you get out if you are trapped upstairs? How long will it take? I returned from Chicago on Sunday afternoon. It got too late to return on Saturday and I got to go to a Japanese restaurant. The shower was fun and the foood was great. the bride was delightful. The only bad news to report is that my lower back has decided to act up for the first time in years. Once I am moving I am ok but to get from sitting to standing is quite a painful task. I am eager to hear from Carol Faye about her trip. John is supposed to arrive Sunday night.
