Thanksgiving

Dave and I enjoyed the turkey and wine at the winery today!  I wish I had talked all of you into going.  We had a full turkey dinner and dessert with 6 wines.  The “taste” glasses were rather generous so that we ended up with 3 glasses basically - 3 reds and 3 whites..  And since there was an empty place at our table with wine already poured we could have drank it also.  There was enough food for seconds but neither Dave nor I had room.  All for $25.  Next year I am just going to have Kevin and Rachel bring their respective dates and make it our Thanksgiving so that we don’t have to worry about travel plans.  We won’t know till Thanksgiving morning if Kevin and Jen will make it.

I hope the weather for Thanksgiving is like what we had today!

“My” painting is really good - I can even claim credit for a few strokes!

Next entry: Great weekend

Previous entry: Another one I've never heard

That does sound like very pleasant afternoon.  We normally have Delaney and Ella on Saturdays, but can always make an exception!

Hope your whole bunch can make it for T.giving.  We will have everyone here as usual, eat around 4 pm.

I’m burning my calories ahead of time ... did an hour spinning class, weights, yard work, lunch, and then water aerobics!

DElightful how well your painting has turned out. I can’t wait to see it. Tomorrow I am going to a retiree luncheon from my old school district. I hope I know someone.
I was missing from water aerobics today because we were deciding on a car. I ended up getting a Toyota RAV4 in Pacifica blue. After all the pros and cons between it and the Honda CRV were balanced the color choice became the crucial determinant. We will pick it up on Wednesday/we head to Margie’s for TDay. Still need to find a temporary home for one of my dogs. I talked to Barb today and she will ask her son. She now checks her email daily…apparently a requirement where she works. She said we could always send her important news in email.

Everyone have a great holiday. We all are such lucky folks.

Rachel called the other night- her car was making noises.  Turns out that the exhaust pipe is rusted.  She wants to keep her car until it dies she says but she doesn’t want to be in it when it dies.  I think she’ll start looking at cars seriously so that she’ll be ready.  For now she will drive it home at Thanksgiving and we’ll take it to Westfield Auto.

Color has always been a factor for me in selecting a car!

Water aerobics wasn’t that crowded - don’t know if I’ll make it Wednesday - baking pies.

Ran into Kate, David and Judy at Target today.  They were doing some Christmas shopping and I was able to answer David’s question about the book “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” - he wondered if I had read it and could recommend it.  Yes and yes.

All three looked very festive and happy to be together!

I had my annual checkup with Dr. Garrett this morning.  All is well.

No wonder Kate hasn’t posted… now where is Carol Fay?  Sounds as if Barb is only one click away from logging on to our site since she is now checking e-mails!  Carol - did you ask the dr. about your sciatic nerve issue?

I walked 6 miles today - then inhaled tons of calories - baked a cream cheese pumpkin log and pumpkin pie cake.  Still need to do the pumpkin pie, flourless chocolate cake, and Kentucky Bourbon Pie.

CarolFay posts alot on Facebook, so I keep up with her there.  I should tell her to just copy and paste over here to CC! And yes, we need to give Barb that one last big shove toward the website.  Good for you Maureen, walking before eating!

Dr. Garrett thinks my pain is actually coming from my hips, arthritic pain.  She recommended seeing my primary care dr. about this soon because it does interfere with my sleep quite a bit.
