Snowy morning drive

Wasn’t it beautiful today, the snow coming down so soft and pretty!  I left home about 8 am for tutoring at Greenbriar - took about 35 minutes instead of 10, then my little first grade student was absent!  So I headed back home.  An hour’s drive in the snow was worth it though - especially when I could take my time and enjoy the challenge:)  You can take the girl out of Minnesota, but even after 30 years you can’t take the Minnesotan out of the girl.

You could have stopped in to see Susan, then me - I still have cookies left!  Our neighbor did the drive and our walkway with his snow blower- he does it for cookies!  I did stand at the window and take some pictures.  I think I have finally learned my lesson - was tempted to try one handed shoveling but didn’t! I watched Anne of Green Gables yesterday.

True - but I bet Susan was still nestled all snug in her bed at 8:30 am!! Sort of early to drop in at anyone’s house if they didn’t have to be out and about!  Lucky for you with your cookie eating neighbor.  Several of our neighbors have the guy who plows the Sherwood Forest streets do their driveways.  Right now Steve is out shoveling ours - his only other outing this week (first “retired” week) was when we went to see Avatar 3D on Tuesday.

I’ve seen so many clips that I feel as if I have seen the movie.  I don’t know that I would enjoy it.  I thought Leap Year sounded good - scenery in Ireland - but then the reviews don’t sound too good - hate to waste my netflix on it let alone money…

I’m going to see Avitar, tomorrow night, with a friend from the Nora Library. Elliott is busy all day and night, tomorrow.

It was stunning to watch in 3D.  To me, the story could have used a little more “history” of the how and why etc. but overall I enjoyed it.

Most mornings I am still in bed until 9 or even 10. I have the dogs rained to stay up late and sleep in too.

However just for the record on Thursday I was up early to go with Bill to his appointment for the heart doctor. Bill has been so winded with any exertion. I want him to go to the J and exercise but he said he better check in with the doctor first. I went with him and asked about exercise at the end of the appointment (when it was obvious that it had slipped Bill’s mind) and the doctor said yes he should. We ended up spending several hours there while Bill waited to have a test. they have a nice cafeteria with heart healthy food so we ate lunch and watched the snow drift down in the beautiful courtyard, He was given a new med and will wait for the results of the test.
