Party party

Bill and I had a swell time visiting with all our guests. We were both thrilled at the turn out. I think our guests enjoyed themselves too. Kate, Barb and Carol sat with my sister so I will need to pump them. When dinner and a few speeches were done most people left even though the bar was still open. Our bartender, a recent college grad, said she had never seen so many people leave while the bar was still open. We explained that a lot of old folks want to get home before it is dark.  The decorations by Kara were extremely clever. Jim and John both had amusing speeches. We had plenty of food with half of a tenderloin(of four originally) left over. We are expecting some out of towners for brunch so I made two french bread casseroles and a big fruit salad. So we might have leftovers from that too. Bill and John are going to Bement tomorrow. So who wants to come over for a brunch/open house tomorrow0 say 11:00? You are all invited. I love my new mantle and wall ( although I was sorry I had to paint it myself when my handyman had family problems that took over his life)

Sorry I missed the party ... but do you mean Monday at 11 for leftovers?  BroadRipple Heating and Air should be here between 8 and 10 so if the weather is nice I’ll walk over.  Amazing how much everything grew in a week!

When did we say the next CC was - I know it is here.

Sounds like a good bday celebration!  Almost called to tag along with the CC ladies, but then while I was goofing around with Ella yesterday “ping” went my lower back - I was almost incapacitated by evening, but luckily today it’s lots better.

Thanks for the invite Susan, but I already had plans for tomorrow morning to meet a church friend.

I do have on my calendar June 17th, Thursday at my house for CC - is that what everyone - anyone - else remembers?

We have prime rib left over and some fresh fruit and veggies. I need to take the dogs for vaccinations first thing. Tomorrow is their one year anniversary. Should I just call you when I/m back?

Susan over estimated her energy level.  I biked over about 11:15 and she was still in her pj’s, Bill was up but John was still in bed. She did offer me a sandwich though after a tour of her garden and blackberries.
