Give a Mouse a Cookie…

Or put another way - one thing leads to another.  There were some nail holes that needed to be patched in our first yellow guest room.  So that left white plaster on the walls which needed to be touched up.  Not still having the original paint from 10 years ago - I tried using our new yellow paint, then mixing shades of yellow.  Of course the spot kept growing as I tried blending in the color.  We had a little less than 1/2 a can left from our new yellow paint so I started painting the whole room.  Of course I came up short - probably less than a quart short.  Dave stopped at the ACE near us - they are out of the base paint used to mix butter yellow.  I’ll head over to the paint store on Westfield today to pick some up!

JCPenney’s has the honeycomb blinds (actually all blinds) at 65% off, plus an additional 10% plus free up grades.  We are getting some top down bottom up for the 2 yellow rooms and bathrooms.

Trying to get everything done before my surgery!

Or give Maureen a deadline…actually I work better with a deadline. The mouse is one of my favorites. I have used the series for eliciting speech from hi functioning ASD kids. Sometimes I have run out of paint and then done one wall in a complementary color that I have on hand. (I have a hoarding paint problem so you might want to check with me before spending big bucks)

Nice job Maureen!  You will be glad you finished this week, and blinds too - wow!

I am transferring the large sized cassettes to DVD now.  Since I started this task I have been to Norway, Alaska, Hawaii, England, Canada, many of the continental US states and seen lots of babies, toddlers, kids of every age, musical performances, bdays, Christmases etc etc etc!!!!  Some of it has been fun to relive, and other things I am happy to be done with!

What oh what would we be doing if it weren’t for our projects?  Maybe someday we’ll find out! Although I haven’t done any walking this week yet…
