Conversation Club this week?

I am starting a new post. I want to make sure everyone sees it and lets me know if they can come to my house this Thursday. I’m off Wednesday, for my birthday, but Elliott is off also. We are taking Honey to a new Vet and I have lunch plans. Then I hope to come home and get some cleaning done. It’s not just for CC, it’s also because my nephew, Josh, is coming next weekend for a couple of days. Carol, did you say you would be gone the 27th? I just can’t have cc the next week. I work two nights and Zumba on Tuesday. I can’t wait to tell all of you about my trip. I have about 200 pictures. I have one of those digital frames I’ll turn on.

Next entry: Time for a new post

Previous entry: Way to spend a rainy day

I can come on the 27th.

Thank goodness for a weekend.  “All” that’s left is the dining room and quarter round and then another crew comes in for the stairs.  And then I clean!

Kate ... how is your brother?

I was wondering the same thing. Is he still in the hospital or?

Kara and I hit the garage sales in two neighborhoods in Zionsville. We spent our money like crazy 25 cents at a time. actually I spent $3 and $4 at a time. We didn’t get home until 1:30 (after starting out at 7:30a). Kara has several people on her list that she picks up specific items.

So I am relaxing(almost dozing off) when the phone rings at 5:30. It is John and he is at the airport and weren’t we planning on picking him up? We thought he wasn’t due until Sunday evening. He was cool about our confusion and patiently waited for us to arrive. Fortunately the weather was great for sitting outside and reading a book at the airport. On the way back we had to stop so he could go to Taco Bell. There is no fast food Mexican in Czech rep and he really misses it.

So getting mixed up wasn’t too bad. At least we didn’t get in the worry mood all day…checking flight departures and so on. We are so happy he is safe and sound. He has two days off before he goes to work. See you Thursday.

Glad to hear John is home!  And your flooring project is moving right along Maureen - can’t wait to see it. I have been busy with gardening this week - finally, when the rain stayed away!  Other than that, lots of inside projects of the mundane type.  Hope your brother is alright Kate, we will be driving through El Paso at the end of the week so I’ll wave hi.  CarolFay, sounds like your trip was great.  I am not sure if I will be at CC on Thursday night, as we may drive up to Minnesota that day or on Friday - not sure yet.  I will let you know.

meant to add, Susan I will RSVP the invite for Bill’s party in the next day or so.  We have pretty much decided not to spend the whole next week in MN, so should be back by the 5th.

Way to play it cool Susan ... I’m sure that story will be retold with many commentaries.  I’m sure you’ll make up for your senior moment - although if you thought he was coming home on Sunday I guess it wasn’t technically a senior moment.

The liriope plants you gave me last year are rabbit food this year!

Something is always rabbit food and I always am glad if it is not something precious. They are eating my variegated liriope down to inches. I only have a little of that so I am sad that they are feasting on it.

Please RSVP to Kara ASAP

Susan, it’s now possible that we won’t be back, we may need to go up to the cities after the wedding.  I am going to tell Kara not to add us to the count - if we are back we will come downtown in the later evening to wish Bill a happy bday.

Back from IL and IA.  Brother is doing better—told everyone to leave him alone so he can get some rest!  Grandson can say Lolo and Lola and Gigi—what fun we had playing with cars and basketballs.  (You should hear him say “basketball”.)  Granddaughter is smiling and adorable dressed for church in her little headband!  We are so looking forward to this weekend to get some planting done and just be home.  My azalea in the front is still in full bloom—it is a cloud of white petals, like a bride on her wedding day.  (That’s me trying to be poetic like Carol.)

Sue, Both Barb and I plan to go, to Bill’s party, but I have to find the invitation with the RSVP number unless Barb already called. I’ll get a hold of Barb.
