Chicago wedding

We had a lovely time. The bride and her gown, hair etc were elegant. My friend, mother of the bride,  looked like she would cry thoughout the ceremony.
Our trip up there started off slowly. Warning: there is construction on 65 N and 865 was stop and go at 5 mph. It took us an hour to go about ten miles. Anyone going that way might want to think of alternate routes(31 up to Westfield and then over to 65?) Fortunately we had allowed extra time so we arrived to the rehearsal dinner on time(I changed in a rest room on the way). We were exhausted Sunday morning and slept until 10:30 cst. We had ample time to kill so went shopping for accessories for my dress( I forgot to pack any jewelry). We didn’t stay overnight on Sunday and just headed back. Got home at 2:00a.
The boys stayed with a friend who had a 4 and 6 year old with him so they wore the dogs out and vice versa. Jack and Jo did no harm. Their only problem was barking every time the icemaker dropped the scary ice cubes. Smart dogs(lol)

Next entry: Now it feels like summer!

Previous entry: My Power

I imagine it will still be there in August when we go to Chicago!

Looks like plenty of seats for our flight to CA.  Should be an interesting trip - my brothers hadn’t planned who what where when until I started asking questions. It was all - play it by ear.  They don’t realize that even that takes planning!

Will regret leaving such nice weather!

I’m going to Munster this Thursday. I’m leaving 8:00AM so I’ll ask Elliott about an alternate route. I can’t wait to see my family, go to the Taste, festivals and enjoy the 4th with them. Elliott just came to the librarty with a new Dodge Caravan. He has been having problems with his Cobalt and they can’t fix the problem. Goodby Estes Chevrolet, Hello Tom Obrien Chrystler Dodge.

We are back from Atlanta.  Amy is coming to visit—she’s going to Chicago for the weekend, so thanks for the road update.

Returning was a breeze ...no delays. Traveling away from Chicago on Sunday at midnight is a good plan. So far no plans for this weekend and we will be glad for the downtime. Happy travels everyone. We probably should be more circumspect about plans for leaving the house in case anybody bad is reading.
