Baby It’s Cold out there
We got downtown about 30 minutes earlier than we needed to. I ended up covering up my new pink florescent running shirt with my running jacket. I walked most of the way with an occasional slow jog for a final time of 2 hours and 57 minutes. I must say that I enjoyed my training walks better than the race - the weather was nice, the walks more meditative and relaxing and I always enjoyed my visit at the 10 mile mark with Susan. Kevin did not make it in - but we expected that to happen. We came home and ate grilled cheese and turkey sandwiches and a cup of soup ( good thing we still have a few containers left from the winter).
Stay warm!

Good brunch followed by a walk with the dogs down to Westlane over to Hoover and back up and back to 79th. I was glad for a change of scenery. Plus I was runnning out of litter. I made up for it on Hoover for sure. The dogs rode the last three blocks. It took an hour so I figure the Mini would take me about six hours unless I didn’t stop to pick up litter!LOL

well done Maureen. Did you get the picture at the end? How did everyone else do? I read that most years people start with jackets or sweaters and then shed them and someone collects them and donates them to a charity. Bet they didn’t get many today.
I had a busy day. Walked the dogs and stopped at a g sale in the 7600 block of Dartmouth. The house backs up to the Ditch and the woman was telling me about the beavers that have mowed down four trees. It used to be the Ditch was dry all the time except for short times following rain. Now it is clogged with litter and and trees. It stays wet all the time which may be why I had so many mosquitos last year. The woman has called to register her complaints multiple times and once they did relocate the beavers but she thinks they returned. She said she has lost four feet off her back yard because of the water erosion.
Later I did a library store and Penneys run.Tomorrow Kara and Al will bring over a brunc which means I need to straigten the house. The yard is looking quite different(better) than just a week ago. I have been working at the way back and have made some fairly dramatic changes. See you all Wednesday. Should we just meet a little later than 8:00 since Kate and Carol Faye will both be late and I am often late just because????
