any collections?
Ladies,
I am taking my paperweight collection out of the display case, at Pike, today. I have a lady who is putting in a Photography collection for October. Do any of you have a collection you could put in for November or January? Since I’m in charge I thought I’d ask friends and call some teachers. I really enjoyed going to liberty Ill, with Elliott, last weekend, for a weekend wedding. We went to the Friday night Rehearsal Dinner, the church Wedding, and the Saturday night reception. It was our Ohio friend’s fourth son who got married. We sat at the family table and had a nice time together, for a change. I usually go with girlfriends, like this weekend, so it was nice being with Elliott. Tomorrow Judy and I are going to the St. James Art Fair, until Sunday. It’s in Louisville. Next Friday, Our first Friday closed, I’m going on a Day Trip with Donna and Shel. Sunday starts the new library hours. Last night was the last time I worked until 9:00 now the latest in 8:00/

Apples aplenty
We took the girls to Stuckey Farm on Saturday - the trees are heavy with beautiful ripe apples. We could have picked our bags full and not moved from a few trees in one row. They are 75 cents a pound this year. I remember waaaay back in the day (from the time I first went in 1983 etc) they were 23 cents a pound. A gallon of cider is now $5 and last year it was around $4. But oh well, still worth it for freshness and taste.

trip and back
Saturday we went to Bill’s home town (about a 3 hour trip without stops). It was homecoming weekend and there is a dinner for alumni and the homecoming dance. Bill knows everyone or what family they come from so he really enjoyed smoozing. We returned at 2:00a. Everything over there is so green. I guess they got all the rain this summer before it got here. The boys stayed the night with my son-in-law and they frolicked with Charlie.
I went to the doctor on thursday and he said the pain in my left shoulder is rotator cuff. (the doc is on the field for Colts home games so he knows his injuries) I have exercises to do and I have been icing it which gives some relief. I think that walking the dogs may have jerked my shoulder around. I am sure that I will manage to lift chocolate on tuesday.

Bad news
I had agreat time in Munster but since I’m back home I’m having trouble sleeping and not up to having CC this week. I’m worn out and stressed ove the library situation. I’m really sorry. Can anyone else have it this week? If not I’ll check my schedule for next week.

Happenings
Dave left Thursday and flew back to Cincinnati where Rachel and I picked him up with an hour to spare before we went to a wedding (Luke Field). It is nice going to weddings - takes us back to when we were married!
Sunday we drove home - he was here 2 hours before heading back to the airport to fly to Philly for a 1 day meeting - he’ll be home late Monday.
I actually drove to Cincinnati for the first time all by myself! I told Rachel now that I have done it once - I’ll come see her every weekend and maybe once during the week too!

Which of you can go to Barb’s for CC?
Let me know who can go to CC, tomorrow, so I can let Barb know. I’m definitely going. I have lots to share and a library story that’s hard to believe. Carol, it sounds like you will be at CC. What about the rest of you? I can email Barb, tomorrow, while she is at work, or call her/
